Acceptance of these terms
By downloading, accessing, or using DotQuot, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use DotQuot.
What DotQuot provides
DotQuot is a reflective quote app that lets you read, save, like, and share quotes; record Dots; choose moods; receive optional reminders; use widgets; and create personal wallpapers. Features may change as the app develops.
The free core and optional support
DotQuot intends to keep its core experience free, including daily quotes, saving, sharing, and Dots. Optional support helps fund continued development and may provide additional ways to personalise and explore the app. The exact supporter benefits shown in the app at the time of purchase control.
Support is voluntary and is not a donation to a registered charity. Unless a purchase screen states otherwise, it does not create ownership, voting, employment, partnership, or investment rights in DotQuot.
Subscriptions and one-time contributions
When available, recurring support and one-time contributions will be processed through Apple's App Store. Prices, billing periods, taxes, renewal details, and any eligibility requirements will be shown before purchase. DotQuot does not publish a universal price because Apple may vary pricing by region and currency.
A recurring subscription renews automatically unless cancelled in accordance with Apple's rules. You can manage or cancel it through your Apple ID subscription settings. Refund requests and payment disputes are handled under Apple's applicable policies. A one-time contribution does not start a recurring subscription. One-time contributions do not unlock supporter features.
Wellbeing, not professional advice
DotQuot is intended for general inspiration and reflection. It is not medical, mental health, legal, financial, or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for diagnosis, treatment, or support from a qualified professional. If you are in danger or need urgent help, contact local emergency services or an appropriate professional.
Your license to use DotQuot
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use DotQuot on devices you own or control, subject to these terms and applicable App Store rules. DotQuot is licensed, not sold. Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies where applicable.
Personal use of quotes and wallpapers
You may use wallpapers and sharing tools generated by the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not sell or sublicense app content, scrape the quote library, reproduce a substantial part of it, or use DotQuot content to build a competing product without written permission.
Intellectual property and attribution
The DotQuot name, logo, interface, card designs, software, and original content are owned by DotQuot or its licensors. Individual quotations may belong to their respective authors or rights holders. Attribution is provided where known; concerns can be reported through our contact page.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use DotQuot for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive activity;
- interfere with the app, website, security, or normal operation;
- reverse engineer or bypass access controls except where law permits;
- introduce malicious code or attempt unauthorized access; or
- misrepresent an association with DotQuot or another person.
Roadmap and feedback
DotQuot may select, combine, summarize, or adapt recurring feedback into roadmap items. Public votes, statuses, and timelines are directional signals only and do not promise that an idea will be released. Feedback may be used to improve DotQuot without compensation or obligation to the person who supplied it.
Third-party services
DotQuot may rely on Apple, iCloud, Supabase, hosting providers, or external links. Their availability and handling of information are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
Availability and changes
We work to keep DotQuot reliable, but do not promise uninterrupted access or that every feature will always remain available. We may update, suspend, or discontinue features for maintenance, security, legal, or product reasons. You are responsible for a compatible device and current software.
Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DotQuot is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Nothing here excludes consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DotQuot and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the app or website. Total liability for a claim will not exceed the amount you paid to DotQuot in the twelve months before the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.
Termination
You may stop using DotQuot at any time. We may restrict access if you materially violate these terms, create a security risk, or use DotQuot unlawfully. Provisions that should survive termination by their nature will continue to apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Courts with lawful jurisdiction in India will have jurisdiction over disputes, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as DotQuot changes. Questions can be sent to hello@dotquot.com or through our contact page.
